As another Maine fair season winds down, and the cool crisp air reminds us Autumn has arrived, we can count on another fun and exciting Cumberland County Fair beginning Sunday, September 27, and running through Saturday, October 3, 2009.  The 138th Cumberland Fair returns for another year at the Cumberland Fairgrounds at 197 Blanchard Rd in Cumberland, Maine, with large exhibit halls, a midway, livestock exhibits, cooking demonstrations, a flower show, tractor and animal pulling events, harness racing, a classic car show, and the ever popular pumpkin and squash contest weigh-in.
