FedEx Plane Pull

On Saturday, June 11, at 9am the National Multiple Sclerosis Society will partner up with the Portland International Jetport and Federal Express to deliver another great fundraising event as teams of 25 people attempt to pull a FedEx 757 down the runway in a competition against other teams.

Participating teams will vie for bragging rights in several categories including the Top 3 fastest pulling teams, the team spirit aware, slowest pull, and overall winner based on pull time and dollar amount raised by the team for MS.

The event kicks off the overall weekend of events at the Portland International Jetport as part of the Portland Jetport Aviation Expo 2011 running Saturday, June 11, and Sunday, June 12, at the Portland International Jetport.

Oh Canada! Portland Jetport to add Air Canada flights

Beginning May 17, 2010, travelers will be able to fly from Portland, Maine, to Toronto, Canada, along with six other U.S. cities, as Air Canada plans to service the Portland Jetport and return PWM to international status.

Great news for business growth and perhaps more beneficial to Portland and the link between Portland, Toronto, and TDBank, a large employer here in Portland.
