Port City Music Hall $2 Tuesdays featuring Pete Kilpatrick Band and The Coloradas

Port City Music Hall continues to please the music lovers of Portland with their $2 Tuesdays and this coming week, Tuesday, January 25, the crowds will flock to PCMH to listen to the great Pete Kilpatrick Band and The Coloradas. Enjoy a manageable $2 cover charge and $2 brews. This is a 21+ event.

Old Orchard Beach BBQ at The Ballpark Today – July 17

Saturday, July 17, from 1pm to 6pm come visit the Old Orchard Beach Ballpark for the Best BBQ around with well known BBQ’ers who know how it’s done and sure to keep the mouth watering like, Pig Out, Alabama’s BBQ , Acadian Smokehouse, Chaisin the Ring, Pig B-Q Roasts, New England Brisketeers, Famous Dave’s, and Jimmy The Greeks.

A $10 ticket gets you into the ballpark to sample the flavor-filled works of each of the competitors while having a seat in the stadium and listening to musical performances. Those set to perform include; Pete Kilpatrick Band, Beyond Reason, Anni Clark, and Lynn Deeves. There will be a bounce house for the kids and horseshoe pits as well to add to the entertainment and fun. The event will last until 6pm this evening, just in time to head towards the beach for more fun!

‘Live and Local’ Taping at The Empire – April 29, 30, and May 1

Calling all music enthusiasts! Are you interested in supporting local acts and seeing the creation of a new television show highlighting local music acts in and around Portland? We love everything local here at ILovePortlandMaine.com and recently received word of a new weekly half-hour TV show called “Live and Local” that will be broadcast statewide in Maine, and showcase different Maine bands each week. For those music enthusiasts who wish to see the show creation in action, the creator, Scott Hamann tells me that the show will be taping the upcoming season on April 29, April 30, and May 1 at The Empire Dine and Dance, 575 Congress Street, Portland. The show will air every Sunday on WPXT. Old Port Festival – Downtown Portland – June 7, 2009

Sunday, June 7th, marks the 36th Annual Old Port Festival in Portland, Maine
, and what a way to celebrate and welcome Summer to Portland than music, art, entertainment, and more. Something for all ages and a wonderful time rain or shine. The City of Portland in conjunction with many area businesses, have coordinated a number of sites and stages for different local and national musical acts to entertain the crowd, while they check out crafts from local artists and shop the wonderful stores of The Old Port. The streets will surely be filled from Congress St. to Commercial Street, between Temple/Union St. and Pearl St. for another awesome festival. There will be plenty of food and outdoor activities for all to enjoy!

Thriving Ivory, Elliot Yamin (finalist on previous American Idol), Dar Williams, Pete Kilpatrick, and Kelly Parker are just some of the many entertainers to perform across a number of different stages. There are performances and events for kids too.
