The popular summer free musical lineup, Live at Five concerts, has been announced:
July 12 – Phantom Buffalo (indie rock) and Dilly Dilly (folk rock)
July 19 – Spencer Albee (pop rock), Zach Jones (R&B) and Lady Zen (soul)
July 26 – McCarthys (alternative country) and Amy Allen (singer-songwriter)
Aug. 2 - March Forth (New Orleans marching band), Anna and the Diggs(Americana) and Veayo Twins (MAMM Slam high school band winners)
Aug. 9 - The Mallet Brothers (country rock) and CuLLu (reggae)
All concerts will be held on Thursday nights from 5 – 7:30 p.m. at Monument Square, with a beer garden hosted by Sebago Brewing Company. Don’t miss out!



Please join the Frannie Peabody Center in Monument Square on Tuesday, December 1, from 5:30pm – 7:30pm as they recognize World Aids Day with a Vigil, and a proclamation by Portland Mayor Jill Duson.
As the city continues to grow its diversity, Portland, Maine, has recently been named one of the “50 Fabulous Gay-Friendly Places to Live”. The GLBT community in and around Portland is very active as witnessed by the continued support from the community. Southern Maine Pride, a non-profit committed to education, outreach, and involvement, continues to strengthen the community and bring everyone together to “celebrate and embrace cultural equality amongst all”.
