Bramhall Pub Opens in Portland

If you had ever been to the old Bramhall in Portland, Maine, you may remember the pool tables and dart boards, well those are gone. But the brick walls, stained glass windows of the Bramhall Pub are still there. The old sign still stands outside, showing the way to the stairs leading down to the grotto-like space, which has the feel of a secret find here in Portland.

The bar now had 12 stools and is on your left when you first walk in. Behind the bar you will find a piece of old slate, that serves as a specials board. You will also find vintage claw-foot bathtubs are filled with ice to chill beer and wine. There are also 14 more seats at tables as well. Jerks of Grass will play for the opening on tonight,  just as they did every Thursday at the old Bramhall. Happy Hour will be from 4 to 6 p.m., Monday through Friday. Employees of Maine Medical Center can show their IDs for extended Happy Hour prices. Bramhall Pub opens at 5 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 9. Beginning on Oct 10 it will be open from 11 a.m. – 1 a.m. daily.
