Old House Trade Show Portland MaineGreater Portland Landmarks is proud to present The Old House Trade Show at the Holiday Inn by the Bay on March 28 – 29, 2015, which will be great for anyone with an old or almost old home to meet with experts in old homes who can help with projects in and around the house. According to Greater Portland Landmarks, the focus of the trade show will be on preservation, high quality craftsmen, traditional construction and sustainable practices. Attendees are encouraged to bring photos, plans, and any drawings available to assist in their consultations and conversations with the old home experts.

The event will run from 10am – 5pm on Saturday, March 28, and from 10am – 4pm on Sunday, March 29, at the Holiday Inn by the Bay located at 88 Spring Street in Portland, Maine.

Greater Portland Landmarks Lecture Series – Impact of 200 Years of History on Portland’s Architecture

The Greater Portland Landmarks Lecture Series continues with the fourth installment of the series entitled:  200 Years of History and Architecture in One City Neighborhood, on Tuesday, February 8, 2011.

Join Greater Portland Landmarks at the Maine Historical Society, 489 Congress Street, as Peter Bass, a developer, and David Lloyd,  an architect, discuss the process of designing and building major structures in a 200-year old neighborhood. Doors will open at 5:30 pm.  Tickets are only $10, and advance registration is suggested.  The event will run from 6pm to 7pm.
