Looking for a challenge? How about a 2.4 mile open water swim from Peaks Island to the East End Beach in Portland? On Saturday, July 24, beginning at 8:30am, the YMCA Peaks to Portland will “test your mental and physical abilities” while helping to raise money for the Cumberland County YMCA’s Annual Support Campaign. Most of the swimmers are accompanied by a kayaker.
If swimming in the ocean competitively is not your cup of tea, head on down to cheer on the competitors!
