Posted By Recently, the Portland City Council approved new rules effective immediately for where dogs are and are not allowed, along with additional rules the City of Portland plans to enforce to promote responsible dog ownership and help keep the city safe and clean. Noted changes are that dogs are now banned from playgrounds, school yards, and ball fields (though many had these rules previously). As a reminder, you may be faced with a $250 fine for not picking up after your pet when they do their business.
